An event for York and North Yorkshire businesses that will give you an introduction to all things AI and Machine Learning; that will seek to answer your questions; provide you with real-life business case studies and help you to decide if you’re ready to take your first steps in this era-defining technology.

Lunch will be provided after the speaker sessions and there will be ample time for networking as well as the opportunity to talk to some of the businesses and organisations from across our region that can provide support, solutions and guidance in our mini-expo.

Bethan Vincent, Senior Marketer at Open Velocity - With over 12 years of experience in marketing, Bethan has been responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies in highly competitive B2B Saas and technology services environments.Formerly the Marketing Director of a leading Software Consultancy, Bethan founded Open Velocity in 2022 to ensure technology start-ups and scale-ups can access leading marketing strategy consultancy and senior marketing support. Bethan is a multi-time founder, having founded a DTC brand in 2013 and ethical certification in 2015.Building on her work at C-Suite level, Bethan is a regular speaker about marketing and technology at international conferences, including GitLab Commit San Francisco 2020, TuringFest 2021 and Learn Inbound 2023 conference.

As an accomplished Public Speaker, AI Ethicist, and Evangelist, Sherin promotes thought-provoking ideas, shares his technical knowledge, and advises on best practices.
Dan Franks, CEO of Causa.tech - Dan has worked at the University of York for almost two decades applying machine learning, AI, and statistics in the sciences, and publishing in the world's top journals such as Science and Nature. He is now co-founder and CEO of Causa where he is on a mission to bring trustworthy, transparent, and accountable causal AI to businesses.
Jonathan Rayfield, DNA Consulting - Establishing a marketing agency back in the early 2000’s when a Apple Mac cost £2500 and had a screen the size of ipad Mini, Jonathan quickly built a successful design and marketing agency. Clients included The NHS who he created one of their first websites - he remembers showing the CEO how to use a mouse for the first time. An ambitious Leeds based Law firm who were one of the first to venture into marketing, that Law firm is now called DLA Piper. Jonathan is a seasoned marketing professional and around 10 years ago, realising clients were relying on him for business, not just marketing advice, he founded a business consulting firm and today works with Directors on growth and innovation. He has a diverse client base from Manufacturing, professional services as well as a number involved in AI. One time he was evaluating a product at Smith & Nephew and before he knew it he was ‘invited’ to scrub in and observe and ‘deepen’ product knowledge!
